Yes, it's that time of year again. For over 2 months, you wouldn't be able to miss the upcoming holiday season in stores all around. So here are a few picks I came up with, just to give you a few ideas for the people you care about. Since I live in Germany, I tried to cover products that are available for purchase in the US as well as the EU. I'm fairly sure that they can be bought in many other countries around the world. Let's start:

Thermopro TP19H — Digital Meat Thermometer    Amazon    $16.99 (US) / €16.99 (DE)

At a time when air fryers are almost everywhere, and especially useful for singles (like me), one important aspect is making sure that meat is thoroughly cooked. Meat thermometers are an essential tool when cooking meat, so I recommend the Thermopro TP19H digital meat thermometer. There are more expensive models which include more options, some with a bluetooth connection for your smartphone. But this inexpensive model is highly recommended, especially for those starting off (like me).

This lunch box is highly recommended for its features and quality. Kitchen containers are always a popular choice as holiday gifts, and OXO containers are available in a variety of shapes and sizes. As an example, I picked the tall, square container, ideal for long pasta like spaghetti.

Mini PCs are becoming more and more popular, and for good reason. With the current specs, they pack a punch, are very energy-efficient, extremely quiet, and fit anywhere you like.

I have mine sitting under the monitor, as it replaced my previous machine, a tower rocking an AMD Phenom II X6 1055T processor, and an Nvidia GTX 750.

The mini PC blows that machine straight out of the water in every way, without making a sound. And at this price, it can hardly be beat for someone who doesn't need a high-power machine (e.g. for gaming, or image, video or audio processing, etc.).

There are many configurations available for the PC mentioned here, and there are quite a few more manufacturers (e.g. Minisforum) that can also be recommended.

For kids ages 8 and above, this kit provides a cool way to learn about how electronics work. The kit is safe, and has won many awards.
